In Khorezm region great attention is paid to liberalization of economics, its gradual growth and stability, to forming many - sided economics with private property in the leading position, and also to strengthening the foreign trade and social defence of people.

The average index of rate of economical growth in the region has made about 3-6% in recent years, in 2007 the index of rate of gross output growth made 107, 9%. In 2008 this index made 108,7%.

The reforms being made in the economics have had a positive influence on gross output. 38,8% of it in the year 2007 and 48% in 2008 was the share of the field of service.

In the main, new types of service in such fields as transport and communication service, tourism and hotel business, finances and banking have had a positive influence on the rate of gross output growth.

In accordance with strategic measures intended to 2-2,5 % wage increase, an average wage in recent 3 years showed an increase of 45,6 % and made 192 thousand sums. In 2007 clear profit of the population increased 23,2%.
